Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of headstartbiz.com and the services of Head Start Biz Solutions (“Head Start Biz,” “we,” “us”), a business consulting firm at 440 Monticello Ave Ste 1800, Norfolk, VA 23510. By using the site, submitting an intake, or engaging us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
Our services
We provide business consulting, tax preparation and planning, accounting and bookkeeping, payroll, business formation, business plans, credit consulting, business credit, history leasing, business funding consulting, merchant accounts, website development, CRM and data management, and lead generation. The scope, price, and timing of any service are set in a written engagement, proposal, invoice, or agreement. If that document conflicts with these Terms, the engagement document controls for that service.
Not legal or investment advice
Our consulting, website content, articles, and tools are for general information. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. We are not a lender, bank, broker-dealer, or investment adviser. For legal questions, including entity, estate, or contract matters, consult a licensed attorney. Content on this site is not a substitute for advice on your specific situation.
No guaranteed results
We do not guarantee any particular result, including funding approval, loan amounts, interest rates, 0% intro periods, credit score changes, removal of accurate negative items, tax refund amounts, or business outcomes. Any timeframes or figures on our site, such as typical funding times or first movement on a credit file, are examples based on past experience and depend on lenders, credit bureaus, government agencies, and your own file. Lenders and other third parties make their own decisions.
Business funding
For the funding desk, as described on our site, we do not charge an up-front fee. Our consulting fee is due after you are funded, under the terms in your funding agreement. You are responsible for reviewing and accepting any lender’s terms, and for repaying any financing you obtain.
Credit services
Where our credit consulting includes help with disputing items on your consumer credit report, that service is subject to the federal Credit Repair Organizations Act and the Virginia Credit Services Business Act. For those services:
- Before you sign, we will give you the written disclosure “Consumer Credit File Rights Under State and Federal Law,” and a written contract describing the services, total cost, and expected timing.
- We will not charge or accept payment for credit repair services until those services have been fully performed.
- You may cancel the contract without penalty or obligation within 3 business days after you sign it.
- You have the right to dispute inaccurate information in your credit report yourself by contacting the credit bureau directly, at no cost. Accurate, current, and verifiable negative information cannot be removed from your report.
- We will never advise you to make false statements to a credit bureau or creditor or to create a new credit identity.
Credit monitoring services you use, such as a third-party credit report service, are provided by that company under its own terms and fees.
Tax preparation
- You are responsible for giving us complete and accurate information and documents, and for keeping records that support your return.
- We prepare your return from the information you provide. We do not audit or independently verify it, though we may ask questions.
- You must review your return before you sign it. Signing confirms that it is true, correct, and complete to the best of your knowledge. You remain responsible for the tax, interest, and penalties shown or later owed.
- Any audit protection, refund transfer, or bank product is provided under its own terms. Bank products come with fees charged by the bank.
- Your tax information is handled as described in our Privacy Policy and IRS rules.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, respond to requests in a reasonable time, and use our site and services lawfully. You will not submit false information, attempt to break into our systems, scrape the site, or send spam through our forms. We may decline or end an engagement if you do not meet these terms.
Fees, payments, and refunds
Fees are set in your engagement, proposal, or invoice. Payments are processed by our third-party payment processor. Unless your engagement says otherwise, you may cancel within 72 hours of payment for a full refund if work product or documents have not yet been delivered to you. After work product or documents are delivered, or after a filing is submitted, fees are not refundable except as required by law. Discovery-session commitments, such as The Roadmap’s $250 fee, follow the terms stated at booking.
Communications
By submitting an intake you agree that we may contact you by email, phone, or text about your request. Marketing texts are sent only with your consent. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. Consent is not a condition of purchase. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Partner companies and third-party sites
Our site names and links to partner companies, including The Roadmap, The Bookkepers, Irresistible Life, and Head Start CRM, and to other third-party sites. Each partner is a separate company that provides its services under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not control third-party sites and are not responsible for their content, products, or services.
Intellectual property
The site and its content, including text, articles, graphics, logos, and design, belong to Head Start Biz Solutions or its licensors and are protected by law. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, or sell our content without written permission. Work product we create for you is licensed or transferred to you as stated in your engagement once it is paid in full.
Disclaimer of warranties
The site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Head Start Biz Solutions and its owners, employees, and contractors are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or denied financing, arising from the site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to a service is limited to the fees you paid us for that service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or any rights you have under the Credit Repair Organizations Act or other consumer protection laws.
Indemnity
You agree to hold us harmless from claims, losses, and costs, including reasonable attorney’s fees, that result from false or incomplete information you provide or your misuse of the site.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, please contact us so we can try to resolve it informally within 30 days. Any lawsuit must be brought in the state or federal courts serving Norfolk, Virginia, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction. Either party may bring a qualifying claim in small claims court.
General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, our Privacy Policy, and your engagement documents are the entire agreement on these subjects.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The effective date at the top shows the latest version. Changes apply from that date. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept it. Changes do not alter a signed engagement without your agreement.
